About us, the best crew in the world
Adventure camp in Sweden
I used to often take part in training camps myself and therefore spent many a vacation in gyms and riding halls. But my sporting development and the daily challenges were worth more to me than any beach holiday on Tenerife. Nevertheless, I enjoy traveling and love getting to know new countries, people and cultures. I think you feel the same way, right? The great thing is, training and vacation don't have to be mutually exclusive! That's why we at GMsports organize training camps in Sweden and include the surrounding nature in the training. My team and I try to train outside in nature whenever possible. This makes training a very special holiday experience! The Swedish landscape alone is worth the trip…
Training camps in Germany
We organize three training camps in Germany to prepare you for your next vaulting season. For me, as a multiple runner-up world champion, it was always important to get suggestions from different sides. You get exactly that opportunity here. In fall camp you can try new elements that you have seen at tournaments. In the winter camp, the focus is on putting together your freestyle and the compulsory exercises. In the Easter camp we work together on the fine-tuning of your performance.Through the three camps, we get creative with you, find suitable focal points and provide you with optimal support in your preparation.
About Gero Meyer
I have been an active participant in vaulting for over 25 years. During this time I have been able to celebrate many successes. But even more important to me are the worldwide acquaintances and friendships that have developed during this time. The sport of vaulting has polished me, both physically and mentally. The fascination for sport and the variety of training gave me a new challenge every day. Because of my sporting achievements, I was invited as a trainer by foreign clubs as a 17-year-old young vaulter. Since then, I have been regularly active as a trainer around the world and work with athletes from a wide range of performance levels. During my several years as a national coach for Finland, I was able to convey my ideas and training approaches to the vaulters with great success. I really enjoy passing on my experiences and working on the personal limits of the athlete entrusted to me. It doesn't matter what level of performance the athlete is at. What matters more is how much progress the athlete has made during the training days with me, not what he has already been able to do. And this progress can be made by both beginners and professionals. But it is also important to me that the community and fun are not neglected.
In general, however, success is measured more through wins and placings. I did pretty well there too. I achieved the following victories and placings in my active career from 1984 to 2011.
World Championships- Silver: 2000, 2002, 2006
- 4th place: 2010
- Gold: 1999
- Bronze: 2001, 2005, 2009 (Pas de deux)
- 4th place: 2007
- Gold: 2000
- Silver: 2001, 2002, 2009
- Bronze: 1998
- 4th place: 2006, 2008
